Apple claims that the overheating issue of iPhone 15 Pro is not related to the titanium frame, and will be resolved through a system update

Earlier reports from IT Home, based on an analysis by TF International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, suggested that the overheating issue in the iPhone 15 Pro series is not related to TSMC’s 3nm process, but likely due to compromises made in the cooling system design to reduce weight, like a smaller cooling area and the use of titanium, which impacts heat dissipation. It was anticipated that Apple might resolve this issue through a system update, but the improvement might be limited unless the processor performance is reduced, which could adversely affect the shipment volume of the iPhone 15 Pro series throughout its product cycle.

In response, Apple stated that the issue is unrelated to the titanium frame, and the design of the iPhone 15 Pro does not cause overheating. In fact, they claimed that the titanium frame provides better heat dissipation compared to any previous generation of Pro models with stainless steel frames.

Apple assured that the bug fix will not reduce chip performance to address the overheating issue, and the long-term performance will not be affected.
